Just because your studio is less than 600sqft, doesn’t mean it has to feel like a tiny dorm room. This project explores the creative ways of utilizing a space and making it feel more open and ample. The first priority was maximizing the space and then enhancing the cosmetic finishes.
The two-room studio has a separate dining/cooking space along with the living area in one room, while the other room is reserved for sleeping and working. The apartments benefit from a new paint scheme in muted contemporary neutrals for the ceiling and walls with edgier hues to highlight newly surfaced baseboards and trims. Then we began layering in textures, patterns and materials on the walls and furnishings to add depth and personality to the spaces.
